Our Dining Room If anyone walks away from our table hungry, they have no one to blame but themselves! Burgiss Farm Bed and Breakfast offers seven delicious ways to fill your tummy each morning, so we hope you bring a hearty appetite. Guests make their breakfast selection from the menu before going to bed each night. Just tell us what time you want to eat, and it'll be ready.

A special treat awaits coffee lovers - freshly ground Kona coffee from the Big Island of Hawaii. We have twelve different blends of Kona coffee (both decaf and hi-test), and can even offer an espresso, cappuccino, or latte.

For your other meals, just tell us the type of food you want, and we'll direct you to the best place around. Our facility maintains a current menu on every major restaurant in the county, so you can see what each place has to offer before making a decision. Once you decide where you want to go, we will provide you with printed directions on how to get there.

As a guest at Burgiss Farm Bed and Breakfast, you will be able to select one of the following menus:

  • Hawaiian Breakfast
Hawaiian Pancakes served with pineapple and homemade jams and jellies, fresh fruit, juice, and freshly ground Kona coffee from the Big Island of Hawaii. Our most popular breakfast!
  • Country Sunrise
Sausage links, Canadian bacon, home fried potatoes, eggs (cooked to order), pancakes or biscuits, hot syrup, jelly, juice, and Kona coffee.
  • Appalachian Mountain
Country ham, special apple surprise, eggs (cooked to order), cheese grits, biscuits, juice, and Kona coffee.
  • Parkway Surprise
Eggs Benedict served on an English muffin, with special baked fruit, fruit preserves, juice, and Kona coffee.
  • Laurel Springs Shuffle
Our “healthy” breakfast. Start off with our famous “smoothie,” then try some homemade bread, preserves, choice of hot or cold cereal, fresh fruit in season, and Kona coffee.
  • Elk Knob Favorite
Cheese omelet with three eggs, toast from homemade bread, muffins, juice, and Kona coffee.
  • Chef's Surprise
For those who have an extended stay or for those who enjoy surprises, allow the cook to choose the breakfast from all of the items listed above plus plenty of extras simply because he (and sometimes she) enjoys being creative.
